Announcement on 2021 Young Scientists’ Online Forum of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory

In order to bring together outstanding young scientists from domestic and abroad, discuss cutting-edge research in disease mechanism, bioinformatics, innovative drugs, and medical imaging, support cross-border, cross-regional and interdisciplinary academic exchanges and cooperation, promote the research of major scientific problems in life health, and strengthen talent pipeline of our institution, Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as SZBL) plans to hold the Young Scientists’ Online Forum on September 11, 2021.
The main topics of the forum include the following areas.
Major diseases area: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tumors, neurological and psychiatric diseases, respiratory and insect-borne infectious diseases, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
Scientific and technical area: molecular biology, physiology, systems and physical biology, big data and artificial intelligence, innovative drugs, novel vaccines, medical imaging, chemical biology, etc.
The forum is open to young scientists who possess a doctorate from a reputable institution and do not exceed 40 years old.
Eligible and interested young scientists should submit his/her CV and registration form (please see the attached document) by email to Ms. Li at lipp@szbl.ac.cn before August 27, 2021.
All applicants will receive an official invitation letter and the agenda of the forum, and please confirm your attendance within 3 days. Oral presentation candidates will be selected and arranged according to the forum schedule and presentation topics.
Participants will have the opportunity to be selected as a Junior Principal Investigator or Shenzhen Bay Fellow on a priority basis.
