On August 14th, 2023, the First SZBL International Symposium on Cancer Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery sponsored by the Institute of Cancer Research of SZBL was successfully held. International experts and scholars in the fields of cancer chemical biology and drug discovery are invited to this symposium held in SZBL to share a pioneering and innovative thinking feast.
Professor Dr. Lei Xiaoguang from Peking University/ Institute of Cancer Research of SZBL presided over the opening session and delivered a speech. Shen Snow, Deputy Director and Senior Principal Investigator of the Institute of Cancer Research, introduced the organization structure, research focus and recent development of the Institute. More than 100 researchers from SZBL, South University of Science and Technology of China, Peking University and other universities and scientific research institutions attended the conference.
The symposium brought together top experts and scholars from the world in the fields of cancer chemical biology and drug discovery to conduct in-depth discussions around the two fields and exchange the latest research results, and to provide a good opportunity and way for the follow-up scientific research cooperation at home and abroad and the promotion of research on basic cancer biology, translational medicine and anticancer drug discovery.
Through this symposium, it hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with international cancer chemistry and biology counterparts, provide a new platform for research and transformation of anticancer drugs, and help Shenzhen achieve more vigorous development in the field of research and transformation of anticancer drugs.
