On July 4, 2023, the 1st SZBL-Evident Discovery Center Bioimaging Symposium was successfully held. Zheng Bo, Director of Office of Core Facilities of SZBL and Michael Speiser, Global Head of Evident Life Sciences Department, delivered speeches at the symposium.
In order to explore the cutting-edge technology of bioimaging, SZBL and Evident jointly established SZBL-Evident Discovery Center in December 2021. Meanwhile, in order to encourage the development, application and promotion of related technologies in life sciences, both parties jointly set up an optical microscopic imaging development project and the scientific research projects of five bioimaging experts, including Peng Qin, Hou Shangguo, Yin Yandong, Sun Zhenglong and Zeng Jianzhi from SZBL, were approved. At this symposium, relevant project leaders introduced the projects focusing on fluorescence probe, image super-resolution algorithm and microscopic imaging technologies.
Many well-known experts in the industry gave wonderful lectures on cutting-edge research and scientific research innovation achievements on optical bioimaging technology. Professor Chen Liangyi from Peking University, Senior PI Zhou Lei and Junior PI Zhang Yang from SZBL, Researcher Zhou Bin from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Yuan Zhenhuan, Product Manager of Evident, shared their latest applications in their respective research fields.
This successful symposium not only deepened the understanding and friendship between Evident and SZBL, but also broadened their horizons, stimulated innovation through high-level academic exchanges, and explored new ideas for the development and application of microscopic imaging technology. Both parties will continue to work together to contribute wisdom and strength to the imaging field in the future.
