Recently, the appraisal result of the 2022 “FENJI Postdoctoral Associate” Project of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (the “project”) was announced, with a total of 93 outstanding postdoctoral associates in the Laboratory were selected! The Laboratory started the project in August 2022 and will provide supporting living subsidies for the selected excellent postdoctoral associates, with the funding amount of RMB100,000 yuan / person / year, the period shall not exceed 3 years, and the funding quota shall not exceed 100 people per year.
Postdoctoral talents are an indispensable force in the scientific research team. As a major scientific and technological innovation carrier in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Laboratory has been seeking for talents and actively innovating in talent introduction and training. Since the establishment of the postdoctoral workstation in November 2020, 7 postdoctoral associates have been awarded the Postdoctoral Science Fund, 4 postdoctoral associates have been awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 10 postdoctoral associates have been selected into the Overseas Postdoctoral Talents Support Program of Guangdong Province. The project is a funded project set up by the Laboratory to further attract outstanding doctors from home and abroad to do postdoctoral work in the Laboratory. In 2022, nearly 100 outstanding postdoctoral associates were selected into the project, which will help build Guangming Science Center into a source of original innovation, a leading place for scientific research and economy, and a hub for innovative talents.
“Hundreds of talents gather and work together to build Shenzhen Bay!” FENJI means “try hard to paddle” in Chines. It stands for a kind of promising spirit, a courage to be the first, and an attitude of all-out attitude. The Laboratory will take the project as the carrier to continuously accumulate experience and enhance the evaluation quality, constantly improve the post-doctoral training mechanism, innovate post-doctoral training mode, and promote the postdoctoral associates to be the new force of the Laboratory’s scientific research work via the appraisal of “FENJI Postdoctoral Associate” project!
